Description |

Shewula Mountain Camp is a rustic guest lodge set on the Lubombo Mountain plateau in Swaziland. Set 500 metres high, the camp offers a 100 km vista of Swaziland and sometimes Maputo can be seen on a clear day.
Guests will have the opportunity to experience the traditional Swazi lifestyle in a natural setting. There are seven comfortable rondavel huts, four with five beds each and three en-suite huts with three beds each. A boma, an open communal area, is available with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and store room. Guests can enjoy a traditional menu prepared by the camp staff or make their own meals with the facilities provided. A separate ablution facility with flush toilets and hot showers is also provided. The rondavels have been left without electricity in order to enhance the traditional Swazi experience, so paraffin lanterns are provided to light the darkness.
Guests can take their experience further with an organised visit to a Sangoma, a traditional healer. The visit will be both informative and eye-opening. Take a chance and learn to dance the traditional Sibhaca dance, which is performed by young people from the community dressed up in traditional regalia. |
