Built in 1906, The First House was the very first house in Zinkwazi and serves as a beacon of heritage on the KwaZulu-Natal Coast. Maintaining its original Colonial style, The First House offers spectacular views while having total privacy from sun-worshippers on the beach.
The duplex offers seven bedrooms and is perfect for up to 14 guests. The rooms are furnished with comfortable double and single beds and share the use of two bathrooms. The kitchen is equipped with a stove and oven, a microwave, fridge and an ice machine, and guests can enjoy their meals in the dining room or out on the patio. The lounge is comfortably furnished and is equipped with a TV with full DStv.
The lovely large veranda encircles the left side of the house and shields all from wind and weather, while offering the ideal space to read, play games or simply spend hours visiting with family and friends. Other features include a gas braai, swimming pool, garage parking, and direct beach access. The house is also secured by a fence and an armed response service is provided.
Zinkwazi is well-known for its incredible bird life and its proximity to the Zululand Birding Route. Ferry rides can be taken along the lagoon and is used for upriver bird spotting, wine tasting or simply to experience the relaxation of being on water. Golf enthusiasts have a number of courses to choose from and Zinkwazi also lies in the heart of the King Shaka Route and isclose to the historical Anglo-Zulu battlefield. |
