Silvermist Guest House is situated high up in the mountains overlooking the small town of Modjadjiskloof.

It has a picturesque view of the ravine and mountains that form part of the legendary "Valley of the Silver Mist". The well-known Magoebaskloof region forms a part of this valley. Its spectacular beauty, natural forests and waterfalls makes it a popular tourist destination. Guests have access to a great variety of tourist's attractions in four different valleys within a half an hour's drive from the guest house.

The guest house offer six well-appointed bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, as well as a large honeymoon suite with a lounge and a private patio overlooking the mountains. The dining room has spectacular panoramic views and delicious breakfasts and dinners are served in the dining room. It also offers a lovely swimming pool with special features for children, where the guests can cool off after a day of exploring the tourist attractions in the area.

Guests have access to a great variety of tourist’s attractions in four different valleys within a half an hour’s drive from the guesthouse. This includes one of the largest Boabab trees in South Africa that houses a small pub in its trunk. There is also a quad bike off-road track in the bush at Boabab tree.

The Kruger National Park’s Phalaborwa gate is only about a 140 kilometres away. Sports lovers have access to an 18-hole golf course only 7 kilometres away at the Tzaneen Country Club.

Close to Modjadjikloof is the unique Modjadji Cycad Reserve, it is named after the successive rain-making queens who have inhabited the area since the 16th century, guarding the ancient cycads. This 305-hectare reserve features the world's largest concentration of a single-species cycad, also known as the Modjadji palm.

Silvermist Guesthouse is only a 20 kilometre drive away from the large town of Tzaneen where any shopping, medical or transport needs can be met.
