Description
Puruma Pride is a privately owned, non-subsidized lion farm, covering approximately 40 hectares. The farm is situated in the Viljoenskroon district, Free State, near the Vredefort Dome Heritage Site about 160 km west of Johannesburg.

Our guests have a choice of luxurious Chalets or in a real African experience by staying overnight in the Safari Tents. The lodge has a variety of activities and facilities to offer the guests such as a swimming pool, a trampoline and a boma for functions.

Puruma Pride is well known for its majestic lions and being only 20 km away from Viljoenskroon. An outdoor shower, a few yards from the lion camp, provides an experience for the adventurous.

Hospitality, accompanied by lion viewing tours, feeding of the lion cubs, horse rides, unforgettable sunsets, sparkling night skies, fire lighting at the boma and a welcome silence, creates an unforgettable atmosphere.

Puruma Pride in Viljoenskroon Reviewed by Minnie Buchner, South Africa on . Stay in tented accommodation The tent itself was comfortable with firm mattresses and clean linen. It overlooked the lion enclosure at very close range, which was interesting. The breakfast was of high quality, served efficiently and with the friendly concern of the management. I would give 4 stars except for the fact that the bathrooms were not adjacent to the tent.
