Description
Old world charm with all the modern comforts to meet a weary traveller's needs - this is what Makoadi Farms guest house offers. This is a working farm with sheep, cattle, goats and seasonal vegetables; a fresh produce market is located on the farm.

Each room features a double and a single bed, which makes it ideal for a family, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. On special request, an additional single bed can be supplied in the family room. The rooms all have tea and coffee-making facilities, DStv with limited guest house channels, towels and bathroom amenities such as shower gel, shampoo and hand lotion.

A guests-only kitchen features a fridge-freezer, a mini-oven, a toaster, pots and pans and all the crockery and cutlery needed for self-catering. A three-course breakfast is available at an extra cost which includes juice, yoghurt, fruit, traditional eggs, tomato and onion relish, bacon or sausage and toast with butter and jam. Breakfast is served on the patio or in the privacy of your room, as you prefer.

On arrival you will find a welcoming glass of sherry, and for the sweet tooth there is a little something too. Located on the border of Clocolan town, opposite the Shell Garage, we are situated in the heart of the lovely Eastern Free State on the R26 between Ladybrand and Ficksburg.

Makoadi Farm Bed and Breakfast in Clocolan Reviewed by Anna Le Gouais, South Africa on . Quite nice The room was lovely, and our toddler enjoyed looking at the animals on the farm. They were still building parts of the B and B accommodation though so the garden wasn't usable. Kitchen was fine. We weren't offered breakfast and but luckily had brought food with us. Handy location to cross into Lesotho at Peka.
Makoadi Farm Bed and Breakfast in Clocolan Reviewed by Neo , South Africa on . Stunning Stunning interiors. The beds were luxurious and shower facilities top-notch. The outside a bit disturbing, but I expect once renovations are completed it will look as good as inside. In the meantime though, they could keep rubble and renovation materials locked up away from guests. Jasper was quite friendly even if he only spoke twice, to hand keys and then to check us out in the morning, so we were left to fend for ourselves otherwise...with no other staff to attend to us. I'd still recommend to others as it is truly a beautiful farm.
