Rainbow Guest House in Selborne Reviewed by Catherine Dubbeld, South Africa on . Rainbow Guest House gave away our prepaid booking We booked and prepaid to stay at Rainbow Guest House on 2 July. I called them in the afternoon to say we would only get there that night. When reaching East London we got lost because the directions were unclear at a critical point. Finally got there at about 7 pm, only to discover that there was no room for us - it seems that we should have booked in at 2 pm? although this was not clear when we booked. The owner took us to his brother-in-law's bnb, close by, where we spent a good night without being charged extra - but there was no explanation as to why our booking had been ignored or given away.
Catherine Dubbeld

Establishment Response:

We would like express sincere apologies forthe inconvenience caused to the customer. In reality the sudden load shedding causedelectricity problems in two rooms and had an impact on the total number ofrooms booked,So we decided to take the customer to abetter place by paying extra to our sister entity. We thought this will make the clientsatisfied.

With regards

Anil

Rainbow Guesthouse

Rainbow Guest House in Selborne Reviewed by Pieter Onderwater, South Africa on . just OK The room was not ready when we arived at 6PM. Later it was clean, but stale. We had a quiet night, although the bed was a bit wobly and hard. 'Funny' details: unstable bedlamps but no suitable 2-pin plugs. There was a kettle, but no cups, no tea, no coffee, nothing.

So next time in the area, we will try something else.
