Only 18 km outside of Tarkastad Knowsley Country Cottage is a convenient stop over for travellers and holiday makers looking for a country getaway. It is situated on a stock farm in the scenic Winterberg Nature Concervancy of the Eastern Cape. The self-catering cottage is available on a bed and breakfast or self-catering basis.
The cottages sleeps eight people and is fully-equipped for self-catering. There are four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchenette and spacious lounge. The lounge has a large fireplace, ideal for the cold winter evenings. Outside guest will find a small pool and a beautiful braai area. Fire wood is provided.
You can choose between self-catering or bed and breakfast with the option of enjoying delicious farm cooked meals. There is a take away menu for self-catering, were you can have braai packs or homemade pies made.
There are a number of farm outings for the kids and a 4x4 drive to a spectacular look-out point can be arranged on special request. Why not visit Thobelani, where you can meet the amazing ladies who craft beautiful pottery pieces or even have a pottery session of your own.
There is plenty to do in the surrounding area. There are walking and biking trails on the farm, but the cottage with its large garden overlooking lucern lands is the perfect place to chill and gaze out at the mountains.
