Description
This elegant guest house is situated along the N2 highway in the town of Mount Frere. It overlooks the town’s craft shop and the Madzikane Ka Zulu Memorial Hospital.

Tatenda is a word taken from the Shona language meaning thank you, and it is in this spirit that the lodging initiative was born. We wanted a way to invest in the community and show the spirit of Africa to our visitors.

Tatenda is 100 percent black female owned and managed with friendly staff. All rooms are furnished and finished in various themes and are air-conditioned for your comfort. All rooms come standard with extra blankets, various plugs, irons, hairdryers and tea and coffee facilities.

Fans are also on site for those who prefer a gentle breeze as they rest. The en-suite shower rooms with soft towels and toiletries will invigorate you for another day. Enjoy in-room entertainment by way of TVs featuring DStv with 30 viewing channels. Make use of our DVD machines to catch the latest movie releases.

Tatenda Guesthouse in Mount Frere Reviewed by senky ntlane, South Africa on . Stuff unprofessional The rooms where not prepared as my bookings arrangements, shower door was missing on one of the rooms, TV remote was not available for other room. I had to use my phone to call the manager because the person on shift did not have airtime.
