Talk Of The Town in Vanrhynsdorp
Description |
|
Talk of the Town is less than three hours’ drive from Cape Town on the N7 towards Namibia, and a perfect location to escape the daily routine and busy city life. This bed and breakfast is built on old fashioned ideals and modern age comfort. At Talk of the Town, we believe in high quality service and affordable luxury accommodation. The guest house also offers a bakery, coffee shop and curio shop.
The house was built in the early 1900s and was restored to perfection. One can relax in the very comfortable lounge while reading the newspaper, magazines, books or watch television. Whether you are a business person looking for an overnight stay, a tourist exploring the wild flowers during August and September, attending the annual Rittelfees, or simply need a long holiday in nature then look no further. Talk of the Town is definitely the place to stay.
Our rooms are serviced daily and the standard of cleanliness is of high grade. Each of our en-suite rooms features its own private entrance and either a double bed or twin single beds. The en-suite bathrooms have large fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries, and the rooms also offer tea and coffee-making facilities. Breakfast is served on the patio or in the dining room. Laundry facilities are available at an additional fee, and barbecue facilities and safe and secure parking are available.
Van Rhynsdorp is the ideal overnight stop on the N7 between Cape Town and Namibia. Activities and sights in and around Van Rhynsdorp include the Latsky Radio Museum, various bushman paintings in the Gifberg area, the Old Goal next to the Van Rhijn Museum, bird-watching Black eagles at the Waterval, and the biggest succulent nursery in the Southern Hemisphere. |
