Description
Mountain Rock Cottage is situated in Barberton which is nestled in the heart of the Makhonjwa Mountainlands in the De Kaap Valley; one of the oldest regions and the core of a proposed World Heritage Site.

The cottage has a main bedroom with a double bed and a children’s bed, and the second bedroom has a single bed. The loft area has twin beds and all rooms have built-in cupboards and linen. There is a boma equipped with a braai and fireplace supplied with wood. The children’s playground is close to the boma and there is also a cold outside shower to cool down on those hot days.

There are many activities to be enjoyed within the area such as some great birdwatching opportunities, self-drive 4x4 routes, hiking, fishing and mountain biking. There is also the chance of seeing small game such as kudu, impala and bushbuck on walks.

Mountain Rock Cottage in Barberton Reviewed by Christo Rademeyer, South Africa on . Peaceful Beautiful cottage away from the noise of the city. The cottage was clean and Luis and Hennie are organized, they even made us a fire in the boma area when we arrived. Thank you for the hospitality!!! Christo & Arne
Mountain Rock Cottage in Barberton Reviewed by Daniel Finneran, South Africa on . Accommodation is great but getting there is a nightmare (especially after dark) No signs at the turnoff nor anywhere along the very bad dirt road. Got lost several times while travelling the dirt road after dark. Once there, great accommodation.
