Description
Inkwazi Lodge, which means the flight of the fish eagle, is a regal gem nestled along the angle of the Olifants River and mouth of the Witbank Dam.

Accommodation is undisturbed, nonchalant and comfortable. Ideal for a family friendly getaway and for boaters and fisherman.

Children will enjoy fishing, swimming in the pool or in the dam and any sort of water sports. There is a lot of space for running and playing. For the business person there is space for 25 delegates under the Lapa with tables, chairs, a fully stocked bar and catering. For the loved up couple a large tent is available for 100 guests and the garden offers many photographic opportunities.

Utterly Disappointed I booked a weekend at Inkwazi Lodge from 5 - 7 June 2015. <br /> <br /> We arrived at the lodge on Friday @19:00. We stopped at the gate and pressed the hooter and called out for assistance as the place was completely dark and we were met by 3 barking dogs.<br /> <br /> We drove in and through the lodge when we came back to the gate and hooted again a gentleman came out but said that he is not sure which chalet is ours. He tried phoning someone but there was no answer. I told him that I will come back the next day we will arrange to sleep somewhere else.<br /> <br /> On Saturday I received a sms saying that they look forward to me checking in tomorrow (Sunday). I replied to the sms and said that we were suppose to check in the previous day(Friday) but that we will check in today (Saturday) just a bit later. The lady replied saying that even though their times are from 8:00 - 18:00 (not mentioned on here) she will switch the chalet lights on for us and leave the key underneath the carpet. Upon our arrival again just after 19:00 there was no one at the gate except for the barking dogs. We drove to the chalet (only one with lights on) and were scared of the dogs as we have two small kids as well, eventually I got out to check if it was safe and ok for the rest of my family to get out. No where did they mention to bring extra blankets and the chalet only had 1 blanket on each bed. We shared beds just to have enough blankets to sleep under.<br /> <br /> On Sunday morning just after 09:00 we were ready to leave and check out. We drove to the gate and again hooted and yelled for some help. We started driving back to the chalet as we decided we will then leave the key under the carpet for them. <br /> <br /> The gentleman that we met on Friday came out in his gown and said that he had a hangover from the previous night and that he didn't hear us.<br /> <br /> Never in my life have I ever experienced this much disappointment in a place.<br /> <br /> There was no service, no security and in my honest opinion we would have been better of sleeping in our car.<br />
Inkwazi Lodge in Witbank (Emalahleni) Reviewed by Gift Sawila, South Africa on . Nice Stay New management taking over and showed us renovations (Tiles etc) to be done per sample rondavel.  Quiet &amp; peaceful stay but no TV - new management promised to put some TV's.<div><br /></div>
