Our rustic yet comfortable stone and thatch cottage at Bush Camp number 70, sits high on the riverbank of the Olifants river. Relax in your own private splash pool with a panoramic view of the Olifants.
You will enjoy more than one hectare of private space and gardens. This is not your typical rondavel camp.
There is a large, private braai and fire pit you can enjoy all to yourself, as well as a newly added screened porch.
Watch the wide variety of riverine birds from your shaded stoop. Duiker, monkeys, and other visitors may fleet across your lawn too. Hippos and crocodiles in the river are often heard and viewed from the safety of the cottage stoop.
A wide variety of game awaits just outside your security fence within our 1000 hectare private, Ndlovumzi Nature Reserve. Giraffe, kudu, nyala, zebra and many others may be seen when you make your own game drives throughout the reserve and often just driving into the property.
This is just perfect for family holidays, romantic retreats from civilization and those looking to escape to the bushveld and enjoy nature at its best.
The cottage has two private bedrooms with separate water closet and tub rooms. There is a rustic outdoor shower, lounge, and small loft with two single beds.
There is also an open plan lounge with all new furnishings, a dining room and a kitchen. The kitchen is furnished with a Gas four Burner, a microwave, tea kettle, full sized refrigerator as well as outdoor bar fridge, toaster as well as pots, pans, plates and utensils.
There is a washing machine available on sight. Internet access available upon request. Breakfast and sundowner meal plan available with prior arrangement.
We are approximately 35 km from Hoedspruit or the tunnel, a two hour drive from the cottage to Orpen or Phalaborwa gates. "
