Bobbejaan is located on the Ysrivier Farm in Baviaanskloof. Owners Petrus and Helene offer warm hospitality and accommodation in the houses on the farm as well as the campsites. This spacious house sleeps eight people and offers a true farm experience.
The chalet stands beside a grove of white stinkwood trees and looks out over the kloof in the mountain. It has three bedrooms; two with double beds and a third with three single beds. Linen and towels are provided. There are two bathrooms with showers and baths. The living area has comfortable seating with additional accommodation on a sleeper couch. There is an open-plan kitchen equipped with a fridge-freezer, a two-plate hot stove and a microwave oven. There is a covered stop with braai facilities.
The farm is 45 km from Patensie and a working farm that produces oranges, potatoes and tobacco. Guests are able to watch and participate in the farming experience. Day trips to the adjacent Baviaanskloof Nature Conservation can be arranged and guests can enjoy looking for wild animals and gazing at the magnificent scenery. Guests can enjoy hiking trails through indigenous vegetation and gorges. A mountain stream is ideal for a cool down along the trails. |
