On the Rocks is a lovely self-catering house situated only a stone’s throw from the beach, in St Helena Bay. St Helena Bay is a popular tourist destination, particularly during the spring wild flower season, with visitors from all over the world who come for relaxation and recreation.
The house consists of three bedrooms, three en-suite bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with laundry facilities, an open-plan living area and a games room with another double- and single bed. The indoor and outdoor braai areas are ideal for any time of the year. There is safe parking available on site. Full DStv and Internet will make for a comfortable stay.
The cold Benguela current surges upward along this part of the coast and brings nutrient-rich waters to the bay, resulting in the abundant sea life. In winter, snoek are caught and the harbour is a vibrant hive of activity, as the fish are sold straight off the boats.
Ancient granite hills and boulders form a backdrop to the village, offering stunning views of the bay and the Piketberg Mountains. The white, sandy beaches are perfect for beachcombing and even a refreshing dip in the Atlantic. |
