Avon Lodge is a delightfully tranquil sojourn to wine, dine, and relax. Enjoy the birdlife or tranquillity in oak tree surroundings similar to the Stellenbosch atmosphere of the Cape.

It is with great pleasure that we are going to take over my Husband and our Fathers dream of running a guesthouse!
Bertus & Joey took Avon Lodge over from Gordon & Vicky on the 01/04/2014, and would like to invite you to come and visit and have a peaceful stay at Avon Lodge.
In memory of Bertus Fokkema we want to take you “Back to the basics” of life and enjoy the peaceful nature and a slice of heaven on earth.
The lodge offers seven comfortably furnished guest rooms. These rooms feature tea, coffee and soft drinks or a nightcap will be available in the TV lounge or in your own room until 7 pm. The communal lounge offers DStv and a fireplace and there is a Wi-Fi ADSL Internet connection available in all rooms. Facilities at the lodge include, a braai area, a swimming pool and a large lush garden.
For boating enthusiasts the municipal boat launching facilities at the Vaal River is a mere 2 km away while the Vaal Dam is situated a pleasant 45 minute drive through country scenery. Klip, Sugarbush and Vaal Rivers, nearby Nature Reserves and an exceptional Bird Park offer relaxation and enjoyment for nature lovers. |
