Description
Pomona Farm House is a self-catering farm house located in one of the highest farms on Piketberg Mountain overlooking the highest peak which is Zebra’s kop. Piketberg is just an hours’ drive from Cape Town and the town features beautifully restored cottages, giving the area an Old World charm.

The house offers three bedrooms with two single beds made up as a king-size bed, and two queen-size beds. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath, and the kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, cutlery, crockery, a fridge, washing machine, oven and filter coffee machine. Towels, bedding, toilet paper and soap are also provided. Babysitting can be arranged and a maid service in the morning. There is a fireplace in the large sitting room with wood provided free of charge and TV with local channels is also available.

The large veranda boasts fantastic views of the mountains and valley below. Braai facilities with wood provided free of charge are available and swimming and bass fishing is allowed in the dam; please bring own rod and lures.

Pomona Farm House in Piketberg Reviewed by Brian Jacoby, South Africa on . Quiet getaway We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet naturalness of the cottage. The view from the front patio was stunning! Another world, surrounded by mountains and fields of proteas. The house was well-appointed and clean, with a nice homely little touch, fresh fynbos flowers in every room. It had all the basic requirements. The people were friendly and helpful. We shall definitely come again!

Our kids spent time exploring and playing on a working flower and export fruit farm. We spent late afternoons enjoying the views from the veranda, and evenings in front of a cosy fire. The owner is a mountain biker who is happy to show guests the trails on and around the farm.
