Schulteheim Hotel in Uniondale Reviewed by Pieter Conradie, South Africa on . Uniondale Boutique Hotel This hotel is going through a difficult time with the owner and the manager having had a misunderstanding. The owner closed the hotel for a week when the manager took leave over the Season and when we wanted to check in there was no staff and rooms had not been cleaned. The manager was just back from his leave and helped us settle in with amazing energy all on his own. That evening he cooked a fine dinner for us and the next morning made a hearty breakfast. He was most friendly and made our stay memorable. The hotel has much potential, but our room had no bedside tables or reading lights; the windows could not open, no towel rails; no toilet roll holder; no mirror in room; no dustbins; no pictures on walls; a view of the kitchen gas bottles and garbage cans. The manager deserves better support by the owner and he needs a full team of staff if the operation is going to be sustainable.
