We invite you to share in the wonders and tranquillity of the African bushveld at the Ivy Safaris Thaba Lodge, which offers a magnificent combination of contrasting landscapes and natural beauty. We are a family-run hunting safari operation of enthusiastic, knowledgeable ecologists, conservationists and professional hunters. You will feel like part of the family while you enjoy our warm hospitality, excellent service and delicious meals of local fare.
Our 3500 hectare game ranch has numerous plains game species, including kudu, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, eland, gemsbok, impala, waterbuck, ostrich, red hartebeest, warthog and many more.
The delightful thatched-roof Thaba Lodge lies in the heart of the bushveld. The Main Lodge consists of four comfortable bedrooms, a full equipped kitchen, a lounge with a fireplace and a TV, a bar, a swimming pool and a braai lapa. We have also added a New Lodge section which contains four bedrooms, a kitchen and a braai lapa.
For the adventurous, we also offer the more rustic Shack Bushcamp. This ‘back to basics??? secluded bush camp offers a touch of ‘real’ Africa. Enjoy a braai in the traditional lapa under the vast African sky, or take a walk up one of the spectacular rocky outcrops nearby to watch the spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The Shack Bushcamp offers a kitchen, a braai lapa, and a donkey-heater to provide hot water for your bath or shower.
Ivy Safaris is an excellent plains game hunting destination for passionate hunters looking for a real walk and stalk experience. Our experienced professional hunters will guide you in the art of bushveld hunting. We accommodate hunters over a wide range of skills, from novice to experienced hunters, from young to mature. We have been members of PHASA (Professional Hunters Association of South Africa) since 1999. This fantastic hunting experience can be included at an additional R250 which can be paid on arrival. |
