Chitimba Campsite can be found along the shores of Lake Malawi, set on a beautiful beach for guests to enjoy. Many options for accommodation are offered and the camp is often used by overland trucks. Accommodation comprises four en-suite bedrooms with double beds, two bedrooms with double beds, five bedrooms with twin beds and eight bedrooms with single beds that make use of communal ablution facilities. One dorm contains four single beds that are rented on an individual basis and also makes use of communal ablution facilities. The camp features a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch, and dinner can be booked should guests require. There is also a great bar where guests can relax with a cold beer or soda, and Wi-Fi is available at an additional charge. The camp has a craft shop where locally made crafts are sold and laundry can be washed by the local women of Chitimba Village. The area offers many highlights, the beach being the main attraction. A village walk around Chitimba Village can be arranged and guests can visit the schools, the orphanage and see where the local people live. Hikes in the surrounding mountains can also be arranged and offer scenic views.
