Description
Ndhovu Safari Lodge is a luxury tented river camp on the banks of the Okavango River in the Caprivi (North Namibia).

We offer nine luxury tents each with a verandah overlooking the Okavango River as well as en-suite bathrooms, of which one is a family tent with three beds and one is a floating tent for the romantic adventurer at heart. We also offer an exclusive campsite for those that wish to ‘rough’ it – only one booking.

The thatched Lapa is extended with a wooden deck onto the Okavango River for good game viewing like: Elephants, Hippos and Buffalos to name but a few. A swimming pool, bar and restaurant is available to enhance the Bush - experience. Our tented lodge is situated right next to the popular Mahango Game Reserve. Boat trips and Game drives are available.

Please Note: the Houseboat has minimum of two nights (one night is not allowed).

Already getting there was special - they had to pole us to the lodge on a little float as the path was flooded. We were a bit late for the sundowner cruise, but the lady at reception was great and held a boat back for us so we could enjoy this as well. We were only 4 people on the boat but we saw other boats with 20+ people on. Dinner was good - not over the top superb, but good (dessert was a tasteless chocolate cake though). Nice terrace overlooking the river. Accommodation is lovely, but note that although the bathroom is adjacent to the tent, you need to go outside the tent to enter the bathroom. It is not fully enclosed so it's easy for all sorts of animals (mosquitos) to get in. All in all a great stay though due to fabulous location and an amazing river cruise. Would definitely come again.

Wahrlich ein exklusiver Campingplatz Wir haben vom "exclusive camping" Gebrauch gemacht und haben einen traumhaften Stellplatz (den einzigen) direkt am Okavango vorgefunden und dort eine gemütliche Nacht zur Geräuschkulisse grasender Hippos verbracht. Der Stellplatz verfügt über 2 Duschen und Toiletten ist also für ein Gruppe mit mehreren Fahrzeuge gut geeignet. Strom, Licht und fliessendes Wasser sind vorhanden. Zur Lodge läuft man keine 5 Minuten. Man kann an sämtlichen Aktivitäten des Camps teilnehmen (Bootsfahrt empfehlenswert) und wird vorzüglich verpflegt.
