Description
Omatozu Safari Camp is situated on a game farm, 100 km north of Windhoek. The farm entrance is 25 km north of Okahandja on the B1 Road to Otjiwarongo making it an ideal stopover when travelling to and from the Etosha National Park, Damaraland, Kaokoveld, Caprivi or the coastal regions.

With three luxury Walk-in Tents, the camp offers an exclusive and tranquil environment that allows you to experience the thrills of outdoor living in a comfortable and luxurious way. The air-conditioned, en-suite tents are nestled between indigenous thorn trees with pathways leading to the entertainment area. There is a bar, lounge and dining facilities. The adjacent braai area offers the ideal opportunity to experience true Namibian hospitality around an open campfire while staring into the Namibian night sky. A cosy living room with an open fireplace offers the perfect hideaway during cold winter nights.

For those wanting to rough it a little, Omatozu Safari Camp also offers camping facilities located 150 m away from the main camp. Situated between indigenous vegetation at the perimeter of the farm dam, each of the four Campsites boasts its own ablution facility and braai area.

Omatozu Game Farm is home to numerous species of game such as giraffe, eland, waterbuck, zebra, hartebeest, impala, gemsbok and kudu to name a few. Although rarely seen, nocturnal animals such as porcupine, ant eaters and brown hyena, as well as numerous cat species including cheetah and leopards, also form part of the ecosystem at Omatozu. Farm drives and guided walks are a great opportunity for game viewing while exploring the diverse landscapes. Guests with a passion for ornithology can simply relax in the camp while marvelling at the abundance of bird life.

Omatozu Safaris in Okahandja Reviewed by Neels Coetzer, South Africa on . Definition of excellence What a wonderful experience. We booked at Omatoza Lodge at their campsite (one of the cleanest ever seen). Even the braai area was prepared with a bag of wood. After a long journey, we were greeted by a gentleman by the name of Chris at the Lodge and upgraded to the tented accommodation, dinner and breakfast included. Resulted in a sundowner, excellent dinner and rounded with a very nice desert - all served by Chris with a smile! The next morning was even better. Great place, will come back any time.
